It's purely out of curiosity I've read a translation of your post in Romanian, but the photos looked interesting, so why not?

Not a pretty picture of that Gaudeamus book fair you paint: shiny kitsch and shabbiness everywhere. The layers of dirt, the sweaty smell that is in the artificial carpet and only gets worse, the scarcity of interesting books and the ubiquitous kitsch are enough to stop me from ever wanting to visit this fair; not something I was planning to do anyway.

The antique store sounds a little better already, with the always surprising mix of items from everywhere and any period in time (that's why I like second hand shops). Although a personal diary signed by sir Alec Guinness, even with a foreword by John le Carré, wouldn't entice me into buying, I immediately believe he was a man of great taste, and undoubtedly culturally developed, as were many actors in his era, often coming from a background as theatre actors. His long lasting affection for his wife is admirable of course. I 've seen several films he's starred in, but that was long ago.

The other title, "a night with Molly Bloom", I can't relate to in any way, but "the woman in red" sounds familiar, it's a famous film title from the '90s (a movie I didn't want to watch then and still don't want to now), but I'm pretty sure that movie wasn't based on the book you mentioned.

I can see in your photos Cluj looks beautiful in spring, as do the flowers in and around your home. I like the B&W photo of the street leading to the church tower (which looks amazingly sharp), classic and local architecture, but with a KFC in the foreground. The stylish woman sitting on a bench enjoying the sun is a very pleasing photo too, but my favorite must be the one with the blue vase and the lilac flowers, I love that photo.

I often like personal posts about 'smaller' subjects, such as trips, books someone has read or films seen, much better than the 'grand' ones, presented like they're important, some even with clickbait titles. This post was a good read for that reason; I like the elegantly ordinary, if you will.

The 'accordeon' technique self-made book looks promising, hope you'll find suitable content to present it again in its finished form.
